The Store, based at Foveran on the outskirts of Aberdeen, is a family run business, which was launched in 2000 with a strong vision of providing natural, good quality local produce to the customer.
On-site, The Store has its own butchery, farm shop and deli, kitchen, coffee shop and gift shop, and all the meat products sold at The Store come from produce reared on the family farms.
The Store engaged our services with the aim to raise awareness of their offering and increase footfall to the farm store and coffee shop.
- To raise the profile of The Store in the North-east and further a field
- To increase footfall of customers to the farm shop and coffee shop
- To raise awareness of The Store’s produce
Since we began to work with The Store in 2011, we have managed to secure regular press coverage in the North-east and Scotland wide, in a number of local and national newspapers and magazines, as well as TV coverage on the local news.
On top of continuous PR support, we have also written successful award entries for a number of local and Scotland wide awards, which has assisted The Store to secure the local independent retailer of the year at the Grampian Food Forum, the Food and Drink Tourism award in the Scotland Food and Drink Excellence Awards, and the Divine Dining in the Coffee Shops and Cafes category at the TREND magazine awards.
In 2013, to combat the negative press surrounding the horse meat scandal, we decided to focus on the positive PR and remind people of the benefits of buying local produce and educate them on what to look for regarding product traceability. The Store was featured in a number of newspapers and on TV including, The Press and Journal, Daily Record, Evening Express, STV News, Ellon Times, Inverurie Herald, and Savour Magazine to name a few.
Frasermedia has also helped to organise an event with a local network group, Aberdeen PA to promote The Store’s hampers to the corporate market and during the Christmas months we promote The Store’s festive food with regular press releases, features and social media posts.
The Store has established a well-known name in the North-east, and is continually recognised for its commitment and focus to drive tourism to the local area. The farm store and coffee shop has regular custom and footfall, and has future plans to expand.
