Castle Security Group managing director wins top award
The managing director of Castle Security Group has been recognised at the Highland’s premier business awards.
Jim Ferguson was named Business Leader of the Year at the Highland Business Awards 2016.
Mr Ferguson, who paid tribute to his family, including his mother, wife and four children, said: “I want to say thank you to everyone who has supported me.”
He added: “I am absolutely delighted to receive this award which means a huge amount to me.”
Mr Ferguson received the award from Liz Cameron, chief executive and director of Scottish Chambers of Commerce. He was nominated for the prestigious title by former Divisional Commander for Highland, chief superintendent, Julian Innes.
The awards were held on Friday September 30 at the Drummossie Hotel in Inverness.
In July Mr Ferguson was appointed as the new Scottish Chair for Crimestoppers.
He currently serves as Regional Chair for the North of Scotland and has successfully led the Regional Committee comprising of 12 volunteers.
Mr Ferguson has supported Crimestoppers for nine years and has a huge amount of experience and knowledge about how the charity helps communities reduce crime.
Castle Security Group, which is located at Dalcross Industrial Estate, Inverness, has been a major employer in the area for more than 20-years.
Castle Security Group works across all security divisions in the north of Scotland including static guarding, access control, key-holding and alarm response, mobile patrols and CCTV remote monitoring. The firm services both domestic and commercial markets including construction, oil, gas, marine and the renewable energy sector.
