Enjoy your favourite curry and help raise money for ARCHIE Highland
An evening meal with a difference will take place in Inverness in aid of local charity ARCHIE Highland this week.
Sams Indian Cuisine restaurant on Church Street will host a special ARCHIE evening on Monday 6 March.
For just £15 per person anyone can come along and enjoy a two course buffet meal.
Sam Miah, who owns the popular eatery has agreed to donate £10 from every meal that evening directly to ARCHIE Highland.
The menu includes Vegetable Pakora, Fish Pakora, Chicken Tikka and Tandoori Shish Kebab to start, followed by Chicken Tikka Masala, Lamb Tikka Garlic Chili, Chicken Dupiaza and Vegetable Bhuna for the main course, which will be served with rice and naan bread. Tea and coffee is also included.
Sam said: “I always support a charity every year. It is nice to do something for a local charity as they do such a lot of good work.
“It’s an extremely worthwhile cause which provides a great service for young sick children in the Highlands.
“Our buffet evening should be a great night for anyone who comes along to enjoy our two course buffet while also donating money to charity at the same time.”
Laura Mackintosh, head of fundraising for ARCHIE (Highlands and Western Isles) said: “We are delighted that Sams Indian Cuisine are hosting this great event for ARCHIE Highland. The even better news is that Sam has kindly agreed to donate £10 from each person directly to The ARCHIE Foundation – this money will go a long way to helping youngsters and their families in the Highlands who use the new children’s unit.”
The Highland Children’s Unit was built last year following a campaign by The ARCHIE Foundation, which encouraged individuals, communities, businesses and organisations across the Highlands to help raise £2 million through fundraising.
